Ugh, goodbye shittastic week

:Vent commencing: This past week has been a rough one to say the least. Work has been demanding, GP seems to be more of a stressor for me right now (no offense to anyone in particular), and I keep having all these close friends/family announce their pg's. I'm usually ok with it all, but it seems to bare weight with me this time.
:Vent over:

As I always like to end on a positive note.... I started OPK's this month, hopefully it doesn't jinx me but rather give me a + :)
Also, my acupuncture has become such a wonderful relief to go to on a weekly basis- it has become my oasis if you will. That, and DH has been a doll to boot! TGIF (in a few hours anyways) lol

Plumbing looks good!

So I called the doctor's office yesterday to find out the results of my ultrasound and the nurse told me my insides looked great. No signs of any cysts and that my ovaries looked in great condition! That is the BEST news eva!!

Yeah, I thought I would prepare myself for what I could find, and so Googled images of what "I" saw on the screen. Bad idea.
Thou shalt not Google images.
Thou shalt not Google images.

DH was pretty excited about the results, as was I. Although it doesn't explain the causes of some of my issues, it does however rule out other issues that could have potentially been problems down the road. So at least the asshole doctor took care of something in the end.
Yey for answers!

This has been the best weekend in a while

So, it all started on Friday when DH and I bought Zombieland and watched that along with a nice dinner. Then Saturday we slept in until 11 am (yup, you heard correctly eleven in the mornin) and cuddled in bed until 1145, when we finally got up and made breakfast. Sooooo nice. We hung on the couch and watched Waterboy together, then I decided it was time for another nap. lol I woke up, showered then DH and went and saw Paris with Love (with John Travolta) good movie might I add.... then went to On the Border for dinner. We already had Paranormal Activity, so we watched that together before going to bed.

It was a lot of movies.... but man was it so nice just to curl up together and relax. I love my DH!! XOXO

Thursday's acupuncture

So today I went in, and she decided to do an organ cleanse on me instead of our usual. So I put on a gown, lied face down and she pokes my back. Of course, I fell asleep. Its so relaxing in there- even when you're half naked with a gazillion needles in you.

She cranked the heat up and off to oblivion I went. When all was said and done, I got up to get dressed and had this rush of dizziness meets upchuck. It was the strangest feeling I'd had without being hungover. I sat down and relaxed and it went away. Pretty crazy. I'm hoping acupuncture is working for its main purpose... my cycles. Fingers crossed.

Western vs. Eastern

Western
So, I went to see a doctor (we'll call him Dr. D for dick)Image and video hosting by TinyPic at Kaiser Permanente today, had an annual and discussed issues I'm having with my cycle. I tried to explain to him I've been tracking my temps for the past 6 cycles and all he did was glance at two of them, then threw them all in the garbage. Are you for fucking real? No he didn't just negate my feelings/process!

He begins to tell me (not ask, but tell me) that I shouldn't chart. He says it gives false info & could quite possibly be the cause of my cycles. Um, ok. Then he proceeds to snap at me twice while my feet are sky high in the cold stirrups. I seriously felt like I needed to defend myself and snap back. How rude can one stranger be, especially when the other is half naked. UGH.

Eastern- Then on to the acupuncturist.

So, as soon as I walk in, she makes nice, simple conversation... then asks me how I'm feeling and what symptoms I've been having (insomnia, backache, anything). She asks how my cycle looks this month with my temps, and genuinely got excited when I told her it appears I O'd. She then asks if I check CP and CM to back it up and if I used TCOYF, I said yes, but told her I use FF to chart. (she made a note to look it up saying she hadn't heard of it before) haha

We spend about 15 mins just going over things before we got down to business. I 'heart' her. She made me feel so much better after Dr. D.

Need S.L.E.E.P

I don't know what my deal is. I'm so fucking cranky. I've been lacking in the sleep department big time, but c'mon really? I feel so bad because I've been so negative (even just driving home from work).

::Sigh::

Maybe tonight I'll turn in early.

Sorry to anyone and everyone I've been mean to :(

The Twilight Saga

Call me a child, teenybopper, or tween- I don't care.
I absolutely fell in love with the series. I have always enjoyed vampire literature (Ann Rice, Laurell K Hamilton etc) but this kind of kicked it up a notch in my book. I never understood what the hype was about until I actually read the books. The writing itself isn't the best I've read, but there is something undeniable about how she draws you in. Her fan base is so diverse, don't knock it till you try it. I sit here now reading the series for a second time and counting down the months till Eclipse.

Flame away.

Personal Challenge

So,its been a while, but my life is just not that interesting to write about sometimes.
So, my New Years "resolution" is to get my lazy bum into the gym at a minimum of 4 days a week. So far so good. My ideal goal is to lose weight, but I just want to feel better in general. I have not liked who I have become (gaining 15 or so lbs since June). I figured if I put it out there... weight and all, then maybe I can be accountable.
Sooooooo, starting weight 172 lbs (eeeek)

So our baby has a newly adopted brother...

Meet Kimosabe.
Part Bengal, part tabby (so we're told)
